Teaching
Lily is passionate about inspiring people of all ages to strive for their best in music. She believes in creating an environment that is fun and engaging, while ensuring that individuals are satisfied – whatever their goals.
As a practice supervisor, music theory and aural teacher at the Purcell School, Lily gained experience preparing students for both ABRSM and Trinity Guildhall Theory examinations as well as the aural section of the practical instrumental exams.
Through researching practice techniques, she has encouraged pupils to think critically about their practice and how they structure it. As the majority of a student's work on their instrument is done outside their weekly lessons, she believes it is incredibly important to encourage the development of an inquisitive mind and a positive attitude towards practice. She includes these ideas in her own one-to-one teaching.
